Horror Short Review: Wash (2025)

Directed by Kristofer Kiggs Carlsson, who co-wrote the story with Ameilia Clay, Wash is a horror short starring Amelia Clay and Ida Ljungqvist and is available to watch on the ALTER platform. The home, community and launching pad for filmmakers of cutting-edge horror.

A disturbing horror short that lingers long after it finishes, Wash tells a very dark story. One steeped in horror, leaving the viewer uncomfortable and sombre, but thoroughly impressed. Not just with its incredible story, but how it is shot, how it sounds, the acting, and how genuinely horrific it is.

I’m trying to avoid spoilers here, so I won’t go into any more detail about the story, except to say that the house that this film takes place in, is a very dark place indeed. Evil has taken root, and it seems to be related to a stuffed rabbit that needed to be cleaned.

A must watch horror short, you can check it out yourself, below.
