Halestorm – Everest
With over 3.3 billion global streams under their collective belt, GRAMMY Award winning hard rock band Halestorm are steadily taking over the world. Now, the riff dynamos reveal ‘Everest’, the title track from their forthcoming album out August 8th, 2025, via Atlantic Records.
Declares frontwoman Lzzy Hale:
Our song ‘Everest’ is the summit of everything we’ve fought for—every scream, every scar, every triumph. This album is US, louder and bolder, and more brutally honest than ever, standing tall in the face of the storm.
On an unstoppable rise, Halestorm continue their immense form with a heavy and anthemic rock banger that showcases the staggering range of Lzzy Hale’s vocals perfectly. So dynamic, delivered with ion, and filled with exhilarating vigour, the cherry on top is the guitar soloing. This is Halestorm, and they’re about to get a whole lot bigger.
Faun – Lament
Pagan folk band Faun are here with a new single ‘Lament’. One that taps into the mournful power of myth, ritual, and grief, an old pre-Christian mourning song from the north of England.
Faun comments:
With a choir of four singers from FAUN, with hurdy-gurdy, flute, key fiddle and lure (Celtic long trumpet), we dedicated this song to their friend and sound engineer, Jürgen Schneider, who tragically ed away in 2023, after more than ten years of travelling and concerts together.
A haunting and emotional showcase of dark Pagan folk, Faun’s embodiment of the sound and style doesn’t mean they don’t have their own unique and experimental ways. The result is a track that wraps around the mind like a warm shroud. In a way, it’s comforting, but the poignancy can’t be ignored. Check it out here.
The Narrator – Unbind Me
Following on from the news of their g to Nuclear Blast Records a couple of weeks ago, The Narrator have now released their brand-new song ‘Unbind Me’, accompanied by a video.
The Narrator commented:
Unbind Me marks a fresh chapter for us – with our new partners and a strong team by our side. The video, brought to life by the amazing Daniel Prieß, captures all the energy we put into this song. We can’t wait to play it live on our shows this summer and fall.
An enjoyable blast of heavy metalcore that ticks all the boxes for the sound and style, for better or worse. There’s no ignoring the overly familiar heavy rhythms, melodies, cleanly sung chorus, and inevitable breakdown, even though The Narrator deliver all of this with might. There’s really nothing original here, but it is still a class head banger none the less.
What Awaits Us – Vanish Into Grey
Celebrating their 10th anniversary, What Awaits Us have released a new thought-provoking single, ‘Vanish into Grey’. It deals with the dark side of the digital age, such as loneliness, screen addiction and self-isolation. The song offers a relatable yet hopeful perspective on the silent crisis that is affecting the younger generations in particular. The song features Aleksi Rautiainen, vocalist from Split Iris.
A thumping and powerful blast of melodically charged metalcore, What Awaits Us’ new single has a thick vein of darkness running through it, but thanks to its immensely anthemic chorus, it buoys the mind and soul. Do you know what’s really cool about this track though? It’s the touches of epic flair and a guest vocalist who really gels with the band. It’s a banging track. Check it out here.
Grace Hayhurst – Take Off
Progressive metal multi-instrumentalist Grace Hayhurst has released her new single ‘Take Off’. The track arrives ahead of her new album, “The World Is Dying”, on June 27th, 2025.
Grace went into detail about what inspired her the track:
This track tells the core message of the record – all of our frustrations with tossers like Elon Musk trying to drain the planet’s resources and run away on spaceships leaving the rest of us commoners behind to fend for ourselves.
Showing even more dynamism as far as progressive rock goes, pushing melody into a more prominent place, and expanding on her vocal range, this is Grace Hayhurst at her best. Not only is it lively, not only is it catchy (in places), but it’s very weird too. This new album is shaping up to be very special. Check it out here.
ten56. – PTY FCK
ten56. have dropped their new single ‘PTY FCK’, out via Out of Line Music. The new single follows up the band’s recent release ‘PIG,’ ahead of their first European and UK headline tour this September.
Explains singer Aaron Matts:
There’s many ways in which you can get taken advantage of in this life, one minute you’re somebody’s everything, their pride, and the next you find yourself begging for the slightest smidge of attention. Whether it be in your personal or professional life, sometimes both, there’s many ways to get shafted. Sometimes the lines are blurred. I walked the same walk of shame for a first, then a second time. There won’t be a third.
Guess what? This new ten56. track goes really freaking hard, because of course it does. It’s what we all expect, but even then, that doesn’t diminish the danger and intensity that the creative modern metal band displays. The slower tempo just makes this one feel really filthy.
